Take a tour and learn about Albany Park! Upcoming tours of Albany Park are hosted through the North River Commission and the Chicago Office of Tourism's Neighborhood Tours Program on Saturday May 15, 2010, Saturday July 17, 2010 and Saturday October 30, 2010.  For more information and to register, please click here for the Chicago Neighbohood Tour's website.

North River Commission (NRC), the Albany Park Chamber's parent non-profit, hosts tours of Albany Park and its surrounding neighborhoods. Tours are also sponsored by the Mayor’s  Office of Special Events (MOSE) and the City of Chicago’s  Office of Tourism. In 2009, NRC lead Albany Park tours for MOSE and Burnham Plan Centennial’s “Great Spaces, Great Places” tour, supported by Boeing and the Local Initiative Support Corporation.  NRC is also the official tour host for the City of Chicago’s Office of Tourism’s three Neighborhood Tours of Albany Park who hosted tours throughout 2009 and continue into 2010.

Additionally, the Albany Park Chamber connected several Albany Park eateries and Chamber members to the Office of Tourism’s monthly “Ethnic Eating Tours,” including Noon O Kabab Persian Restaurant, Jaafer Sweets, and Restaurant Bulgaria. Over 500 tourists have visited the Greater Albany Park area on tours since 2009. NRC continues to host and organize tours as part of its “Albany Park Retail Marketing Campaign” launched last year to make our community a shopping, dining and entertainment destination on Chicago’s northwest side.
